Bookskoetter Review:
Shiver is the first in the Wolves of Mercy Falls series.  While I was not a huge fan of the book (not a big fan of love stories), I predict that this book and series are going to be a huge hit with teen readers.  Readers who enjoyed the Twilight series will find many of the same elements in Shiver: supernatural elements, romance, drama, suspense, mythology, and action.  In my humble opinion, the love between Grace and Sam (a bona fide werewolf) was entirely too sappy (although probably not quite as sappy as the love story found in Twilight).  However, I believe many readers will find the characters in this book to be likeable and witty, and will find the story to be exciting and interesting.  I would recommend this book to anyone who liked Twilight series, or any teen that enjoys supernatural love stories.
